A blend of each of Bergström's estate vineyards across Oregon's renowned Willamette Valley, the Cumberland Reserve was named for the Portland street on which winemaker Josh Bergström was raised. An encapsulation of the Bergström style, this is the expression of a unique vintage’s character combined with the perfect marriage of spice, mineral, and fresh fruit flavors.
94/100 - Serious, well-driven and succulent, with forest berries, dried herbs, crushed stone and baking spices. It’s medium-bodied with bright acidity. Intense and lively with plenty of verve and vitality. Sharp and focused with a long finish. - James Suckling
On the nose, this wine is aromatically driven by cherry, strawberry, and garrigue with light green spice.
On the palate, this is wine is fruit-forward and balanced with outstanding acidity and structure. Cardamom and nutmeg spice linger on the long finish.
Already showing excellently in its youth, this is a Pinot that will only improve with a few years in bottle.
