This is the fifteenth vintage from this amazing 21-acre terroir of rolling gentle slopes which tens of millions of years ago used to be ancient dunes, sandy beaches and sea bed. This sandy vineyard site is well-exposed to copious sunshine and wind all season long, providing us with one of our most perfumed, elegant, and ethereal Pinot Noirs. This is whole-cluster Pinot Noir at its finest.

93/100 - Highlighted with scents of sweet baking spices and milk chocolate, this brings ripe red-berry fruit along with drying minerals. The flavors dive deeply down through the palate, and the mineral-soaked finish lingers in the throat a long time. Give this another year or two of bottle age for a better drinking window. - Josh Raynolds, Vinous

17/20 - Bright pale crimson. Savoury nose with fine tannins. Complete with firm red-cherry notes. You could drink this now but there is no hurry. Lots of drive! - Jancis Robinson

92+/100 - The 2018 Pinot Noir Silice Vineyard has broody aromas of tar and dark fruits on the nose with touches of dried herbs and flowers. The medium-bodied palate is firm and fresh, its dark fruits still youthfully coiled. Give it a couple years in bottle. - Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate

94/100 - Instantly appealing Pinot. Complex and powerfully fragrant with violets, blackcurrants and purple cherries, as well as fresh wild herbs and swirling spices. Then, a smooth, succulent feel to the palate follows with such sleek, fine tannins and a supple, silky run to the finish. Such a consistent wine. Drink or hold. - James Suckling

Dark ruby red in colour. Lots of red and black cherry fruit and some spice, providing a smooth texture. This wine is ripe, round and velvety, with the signature acidity and tannins of this vintage.

Bergström Winery History
Bergström is one of the finest sources of Pinot Noir, not just in the United States, but in the world, Bergström's story began in 1999, when Josh and Caroline returned to the Willamette Valley, where his parents had been sowing and ploughing under rich green cover crops to revitalise the soil and prepare the land for vines.
