This cuvée of the little known Italian white variety Ribolla Gialla comes from nineteen-year-old vines in the Napa Valley. Practically singing with notes of green fruit and almond, this white was aged in neutral French oak for 10 months. A thoroughly gastronomic white, this wine will match perfectly white fish dishes or soft cheeses. A Californian take on a classic Italian varietal.

93/100 - The 2022 Ribolla Gialla Bengier Vineyard comes from vines grafted to the variety in 2001 with budwood from Josko Gravner in Friuli, Italy. Matured for 10 months in used French oak, it offers delicate scents of white orchard fruit, fresh meringue, spring honey, hazelnuts and jasmine. The palate is surprisingly concentrated and perfumed! It balances a light creaminess and textural grip with mouthwatering acidity, and it has a long, fragrant finish. Yum! - Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate

94/100 - The 2022 Ribolla Bengier Vineyard is another superb wine in this range. Intensely floral and nuanced, the 2022 is a standout. All the varietal signatures come through loud and clear. This is the white wine in this lineup that is the least marked by the vintage. Sourced from the former Vare vineyard, the Ribolla is a stand-out. Longtime readers know how I feel about vineyards changing name with vineyard ownership—it’s basically throwing money away. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

93/100 - A beauty of a Ribolla with perfumed florals and seaspray salinity marking this wine's aromatics. It has dried white flowers, sweet honeysuckle, intensely briny oyster shell salinity, and rich macerated nectarines. The palate beautifully balances rich stone fruits, spiced pear flesh with a saline streak, and freshly ground white peppercorn spices at the finish. - Clive Pursehouse, Decanter

On the nose, big and ample aromas of pear jelly, almond and dried flowers.
On the palate, a noticeably creamy texture which is expertly balanced by firm acidity and a stony, savoury character.

Pair with grilled scallops and lemon butter.

WINERY HISTORY

Arnot-Roberts was founded by childhood friends Nathan Lee Roberts and Duncan Arnot Meyers. Established in Healdsburg in 2001, the pair’s relationship with wine stretches much further back. Both Napa Valley natives, they grew up deeply rooted in the community, surrounded by vineyards, winemakers, and the agrarian rhythms of California’s wine country. Following their graduation from university, Nathan... Read More >>
