Marlène Soria, winemaker at Domaine de Peyre Rose, works organically to make some of the best Southern French wines you'll find. Clos des Cistes is an original and complex cuvée suitable for excellent aging. The nose is both powerful and refined, evoking aromas of garrigue, mocha and prune. The palate is well balanced, of impressive depth, with concentration, silky tannins and a certain freshness. To achieve this, Syrah and Grenache were grown biodynamically. The wine has been aged for several years in the cellar.

Rich and rounded; complex palate with lots of fruit; hints of leather on the finish
Majority Syrah with 15% Grenache
Grapes grown on clay and limestone soils
Can drink from release; would age beautifully for up to 25 years
A perfect match for roast lamb
