Germany > Rheinhessen

Atypical for a German Pinot Gris. Harvested early but due to the site, still very ripe, holding good acidity. Light coloration from the skin contact. Grapefruit and banana are the first impression in the nose. With time, aromas of peaches, almonds, and nectarines develop. On the palate, this Grauburgunder is refreshing with a sweet acidity and good body.

On the nose a strong citrus kick of grapefruit is present, opening up to notes of peaches, marzipan and nectarine.
Wild yeast fermentation takes place at 19°C with Sur Lie ageing until February 2022 when the wine is bottled.
The estate is in the hands of the seventh generation family winemaker.
Drink until 2025.
Try with seafood risotto, or goats cheese - accentuating the mineral notes of this gorgeous Pinot Gris.
