This is the latest wine from Maxime Magnon, a blend of equal parts Mourvèdre, Grenache, Carignan, and just a touch of Cinsault from a plot of vines found not far from the sea. Like Maxime’s other red cuvées, the St Jacques is soulful, sunny, and bold. It boasts the same windswept charm and expressive essence one comes to expect from his wines: seriously Southern, a touch renegade, and disarmingly playful.
On the palate, very aromatic and fruity, vibrant with delicate tannins.
