This Pinot Noir comes from the Bergström Vineyard's low-yielding vines. Fermentations are natural and spontaneous (a rarity in the U.S.). Pinot Noirs from The Dundee Hills are known for silky, suave tannins and this makes the Bergström Vineyard the perennial iron fist in the velvet glove. This wine is a true labour of love, as one would expect from Bergström. A very serious wine and a classic in the making.
92/100 - Medium ruby-purple, the 2020 Pinot Noir Bergström Vineyard has savory aromas of flint, dried herbs, wood smoke and charcuterie with a core of dried black cherries and cranberries. This Bergström Vineyard Pinot Noir has a lovely light burgundy colour. A classic aromatic bouquet of roses, violets, dried sweet and savoury garden herbs, gingerbread, roasted meat, campfire and forest floor. This Pinot Noir is expressive with dark red fruits, cherries, black raspberries, plum and sweet spices and has a long, serious, fine tannin structure.

The Bergström Vineyard is 13 acres of south and southeast facing vines bathing in the cool northerly sunlight and overlooking the expansive and rich Willamette Valley stretching south for one hundred miles. Optimum elevation and exposure provides ideal ripening potential for our most powerful, yet elegant expression of Pinot Noir.
Pairs very nicely alongside roast chicken or pork, or a mushroom risotto.
Can age wonderfully for at least 15 years.
