The descendant of a long line of Macedonian viticulturists and winemakers, Yiannis Mittas - the one-man team behind Oenos Mittas - is quickly becoming one of Greece's most exciting new oenologists. This 2022 Xinomavro is his debut wine, sourced from his small, organically-farmed vineyard on the slopes of Mount Vermio, one of Greece's greatest winegrowing regions. Wonderfully pure, the wine is distinguished by its floral-edged notes of dark red berries, cedar, and spice. Think Nebbiolo meets Pinot Noir.
On the palate, medium-bodied and elegant, offering bright acidity and fine-grained tannins. Expect flavours of red plum, blackberry, earth, and leather.
