Corsica has a long history of winemaking, dating back to the island's colonisation by Phocean Greeks in the mid-6th century BCE. Today, a new chapter is being written in the island's viticultural history, with the rise of sustainable viticulture and low-intervention winemaking shifting the focus back to terroir expression. Clos Culombu has been a leader in this revolution, with winemaker Etienne Suzzoni introducing organic and biodynamic farming to the estate decades ago. This, his estate level white, is crafted entirely from Corsica's favourite white variety, Vermentino (or Vermentinu). Pure and clean with highly expressive notes of grapefruit, tomato leaf, and white peach, this slightly saline white suits any occasion.
On the palate, delicate and fresh with beautiful bitters nuances. Persistent and saline, with alluring flavours of white fruit mixed with anise seed notes.
