Value is not a word often associated with Bordeaux, yet this superb Merlot-dominant blend from 40-year-old vines planted in Lalande-de-Pomerol offers loads of it. Juicy and elegant, it sings of red cherry, purple flowers, cassis, and blueberry. Surprisingly drinkable in its youth yet capable of ageing for years to come, Moncets offers tremendous appeal at an exceptional price. 

90/100 - Notes of dark berries, spices, licorice and gentian preface the 2022 Moncets, a medium to full-bodied, dense and concentrated wine with a fleshy core of fruit, velvety tannins and a beautifully enrobing mid-palate that leads to a long, delicate finish.
