The domaine has been in Géraldine Coumbes family since 1525, along with her husband Xavier Peyraud they started the estate Mas des Brousses in 1997. With just 10 hectares under vine, they are able to tend to and care for the land in a way that is impossible to do on a larger scale.
Aromas of quince and apple with toasted brioche, slight almond nuttiness.
With hot days, cool nights and a constant breeze running through the vineyards, the wines remain fresh. The Saint Guilhem Le Désert Blanc is a combination of 11 different grape varietals, with Chardonnay playing a leading role.
The vines are all planted with in the same vineyard, picked simultaneously at harvest and co-fermented in stainless-steel tanks. The wine undergoes malo-lactic fermentation, further being aged in a combination of stainless-steel tank and barrel for 4 months.
