DuPuis is the new label of acclaimed winemaker Wells Guthrie, the force behind the prodigious rise of Copain. Having sold up his stake and moved the peaceful and isolated Anderson Valley, Wells has sought to strip his winemaking down to its bare bones, focusing on sourcing high-quality fruit which effortlessly expresses terroir and varietal expression. Cul Sec is a wonderfully easy drinking, co-fermented blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Gris, best enjoyed in its youth when its lip-smacking red fruit flavours are at their most pronounced.
On the palate, a juicy core of strawberry, cranberry, and cherry flavours backed up by crisp acidity and crunchy tannins.
