U.S.A. > California > Santa Barbara
An elegant and refined Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County with lovely high toned fruit aromatics wrapped in delicate minerality. Complex and age-worthy, this is one of the best values coming out of California.
95/100 - Graham Tatomer is known more for his Rieslings and Grüner Veltliners (he spent four years with Emmerich Knoll in Austria’s Wachau before founding his winery in 2008), but aims for similar tension and energy in his Pinot Noirs. Fruit for this comes from a selection of vineyards located across Santa Barbara, fermented with 50% whole clusters and matured for 12 months in French oak, 10% new. Anne Krebiehl MW: Toasty oak, with lovely structure, crunch and an edge of tobacco. The palate is crunchy, bright, vivid, fresh, beautiful and nuanced. Justin Knock MW: Bingo, on point. Pale, pure, slatey fresh, balanced, lively, layered, full of finesse and class. Dirceu Vianna Junior MW: Youthful and vibrant with intense notes of forest fruits, a touch herbal and with a hint of sweet spice. On the palate it is harmonious and combines wonderful vibrancy of fruit with a sophisticated silky structure that leads to a persistent finish. Pure, precise and delicious. - Decanter
90/100 - The 2021 Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara County) is a very pretty, mid-weight offering from Graham Tatomer. Crushed flowers, dried cherry, cinnamon, dried herbs and leather are nicely lifted. A healthy dose of stems (50%) adds aromatic nuance to this soft, open-knit Pinot. Drum Canyon, Sanford & Benedict and Kick-on Ranch are the fruit sources. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous
92/100 - This county cuvée starts complex, offering struck flint, raspberry, dried cranberry, hibiscus and cinnamon on the nose. There's a quick snap of acidity on the palate, where subtle cherry, turned earth and sagebrush flavors align. - Matt Kettmann, Wine Enthusiast

Aromatics of lightly poached cherry, wildflowers, and sage.
Supple tannins lead to a fresh yet complex and mineral finish.
All the vineyards for this wine are sustainably farmed, hand-harvested, and one of them is certified biodynamic.
Drink now, but will age beautifully for 5-10 years.
Would elevate any roasted poultry or game.

Winery History
Graham Tatomer’s career in wine started back in high school and after he worked the holidays at a local winery all the way through college (in Santa Barbara), he decided that he had found his career path. Drawn to the brightness and acidity of the Germanic varieties (especially Riesling), it wasn’t long before Graham sourced fruit from some old... Read More >>
