The 2021 Vintage Sparkling Wine from Roberson's very own winery, London Cru, exemplifies the elegance and finesse that English Sparkling wines are increasingly known for. Crafted from a blend of Chardonnay grapes (84%) and Pinot Noir grapes (16% , the high proportion of Chardonnay brings a fresh, refined structure, showcasing the grape’s bright acidity and mineral quality emblematic of England's cool climate. The touch of Pinot Noir complements this with subtle red fruit undertones adding body and complexity.
On the palate, delicate fine bubbles yield a refined and consistent texture. A pleasing balance between fresh acidity and lively fruit offers a vibrant elegance. Hints of lemon curd extend into a long, lingering finish, while 28 months of ageing sur lie adds a distinctive brioche character.
