A classic iteration of Vacqueyras, this cuvée from Domaine la Ligière is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre from 50-years-old vines planted in clay and gravelly soils. Organically farmed and produced in a minimal intervention manner, this is a wine distinguished by its roundness and suppleness. Powerful with well-balanced notes of red fruit, this finely tannic wine is best enjoyed in its youth.
On the pallet, supple and round yet fresh and well-balanced. The finish is long, with notes of cherry and fine tannins.
Best drunk in its youth, enjoy this within 3-4 years.
The perfect accompaniment to grilled prime rib, roast lamb with herbs de Provence, or a vegetable tian.
