Jean-Marc Pillot's stunning 1er Cru Les Raclots is sourced from a 60-year-old parcel planted firmly amidst the village's classic clay-limestone terrain. Offering a saline impression with appealing power and excellent depth of fruit, an underlying but lifted sense of richness provides effortless enjoyment with every sip. More than good enough to match up to some of Jean-Marc's more expensive Chassagne or Puligny bottlings, this is a fantastic Chardonnay from one of Rully's finest vineyards.
On the palate, suave and delicious with medium-bodied orchard fruit flavours and a prominent minerality providing lovely texture and a balanced, clean finish. Racy acidity enlivens the ever-so-appealing richness.
