Domaine Eden is the second label of Mount Eden, found just a stone's throw away from the estate atop a neighbouring mountaintop. Farmed sustainably, this vineyard is almost entirely north-facing, relatively unique for a vineyard in the Northern Hemisphere but ideal for protecting the gentle, mountaintop Pinot Noir fruit. A mosaic of different clonal selections, this wine was made to the same exacting standards as those of Mount Eden - indigenously fermented, aged in old French Burgundy barrels, and bottled without fining or filtering. Loaded with spicy aromas of red fruit, this is a wine with true potential for the future.
91/100 - Fresh, with raspberry, damson plum and blood orange notes, carried by finely beaded acidity and backed by rooibos tea and savory notes through the lively finish. On the palate, broad with delightfully concentrated notes of blue and red fruit alongside touches of spice and a long, sapid finish.
