Didier Dagueneau Cuvee XXI 2021

Wines from Domaine Didier Dagueneau are some of the most sought-after in the Loire Valley, thanks to the domaine's years of experience making superb dry white wines from Sauvignon Blanc. The 2021 Cuvée XXI serves as a prime example, with green leaf and mint notes enhancing its aromas of orchard and citrus fruits. The only wine made by the estate in 2021 due to adverse climatic conditions, XXI is well-worth a try for any lover of Sauvignon Blanc or the other Dagueneau cuveés. 

91/100 - The XXI is the total sum of the 2021 vintage due to frost but mainly rot caused by too much rain at the end of the season. According to its maker, the domain lost around 60% of the crop. This is definitely a Sauvignon Blanc with its green capsicum and mint flavors; often, the varietal character is less overt in the Dagueneau styles.
