Crafted in the heart of the Mosel region, this Riesling Sekt is a wonderfully refreshing sparkling white that bursts with spring flavours. Sourced from steep, red shale-based vineyards in the Mosel, the Riesling grapes are hand-harvested in whole bunches and fermented naturally in stainless steel tanks. The base wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle and before ageing for 15 months on its lees, giving it a fine texture and subtle autolytic complexity. Defined by its vibrant acidity and fresh fruit character, the wine is lifted by gentle umami hints and a touch of candied orange peel on the finish. It is an exceptional choice as a springtime aperitif, pairing beautifully with oysters, smoked salmon, or soft cheeses.
On the palate, attractive flavours of ripe citrus, melon, pear, honey, and golden pastry are lifted by an electric acidity. Accented by hints of that famous Mosel minerality, this is a delightfully balanced wine perfect for enjoying on any occasion.
