Patrick Javillier Aloxe Corton 2023

Domaine Javillier is one of our favourite producers found anywhere in Burgundy. A family-owned , third generation operation based in Meursault, they specialise in the production of ethereal Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that shine with a true sense of place. This Pinot Noir exudes red fruit aromas of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, cassis, and blackcurrant with woody and spicy notes. With age, it becomes full bodied with structured tannins. The vineyard from which this wine is sourced sits at the bottom of the Corton hill, acting as a sort of gateway and introduction to the Grand Cru sites slightly further up the slope.
