In 2015 Napa Valley producer Long Meadow Ranch planted nine different varieties of apples on their Mountain Estate in hopes of one day making an estate grown hard cider. Now, the patience has paid off and they finally have enough fruit to fulfil their dream.
This inaugural cider opens with fragrant notes of apple blossom, beeswax, nectarine and honeyed orchard fruit. The palate is layered yet beautifully poised, with ripe apple and a lift of tangerine zest carrying through to a bright, bone-dry finish.
A perfect aperitif for sunny days, it pairs effortlessly with sushi, beef tartare or fresh goat cheese.
