Most renowned for his work with Sancerre's dominant variety, Sauvignon Blanc, Pierre Morin also crafts superb Pinot Noir at his family's estate near the village of Bué. Grown on two varying terroirs, the chalky pebbles provide wonderful finesse and fruit notes, while the clayey white soils yield excellent structure and superb ageing potential. An excellent example of Sancerre Rouge, this fruity and flavourful Pinot will flourish for the next five years.
On the palate, sapid and crunchy, with a vibrant core of ripe red fruit, minearlity, and tangy acidity. Ripe tannins lead the way to a long, complex, and promising finish.
A perfect red to serve lightly chilled, as a refreshing, flavoursome alternative to white or rosé.
