Situated in the heights of Saint-Pargoire – a small commune between Montpellier and Bezieres – lies the Domaine Peyre Rose. Purchased in the 1970s as a vacation home for then-real estate agent Marlène Soria, she quickly learned that her beautiful country estate had once been largely under vine. After this revelation, Marlène decided to revitalize the property, planting 17ha of Syrah over the subsequent years. Three decades on since her purchase, she has become one of France's most acclaimed and mercurial winemakers, with Peyre Rose firmly ensconced amongst the world's great cult wineries. Belle Léone is a Syrah-dominant red, with touches of Grenache and Mourvèdre blended in. Perfumed and complex with a long finish, this is a concentrated yet elegant red, singing with notes of dark bramble fruits, spice, leather, and indelible touches of minerality.
On the palate, this wine delights with bold flavors of cherry, blackcurrant, and hints of vanilla, delivering a complex and satisfying taste. Full of flavour, concentration and richness, this wine concludes with a long finish
