This old-vine cuvée from Domaine Guerrin is a blend of three different sites around Vergisson, made entirely with fruit from vines which are at least 40-years-old. Hand-harvested and gently pressed, this is a crisp, round, and supple white with a distinct chalky minerality derived from its terroir. Fermented in barrel and aged sur lie, this wine had excellent textural presence and weight.
On the palate, refined balance of fruit, minerality, and delicate oak spice. Flavours of nectarine, lemon zest, and brioche abound before culminating in an elegant, satisfying finish.
Delicious in its youth, this wine will age and evolve for up to a decade.
Excellent as an apéritif, consider pairing alongside pan-seared sea bass in a lemon herb sauce.
