David Maudry's A Peu Prés is a delightful Lorie Sauvignon Blanc sourced from declassified Pouilly-Fumé wines. The son of Domaine de Fontenille's acclaimed winemaker Patrick Maudry, David's wine shows the characteristic minearlity and balanced citrus flavours one expects from top-flight Pouilly-Fumé. The refreshing, cooling, palate is delicious, with so much length for a wine at this price. A stunning white, sure to delight any lover of Loire Sauvignon.
On the palate, there is a well-balanced citrus and gooseberry tang, underpinned by a slight smokiness. In short, a declassified Pouilly-Fumé that beats many of it’s much higher priced competitors hands down.
