Roussette de Savoie is an appellation for white wine in the Savoie focused on the production of Roussette (or Altesse) around 18 villages in the region. This example - crafted by Savoie icon Bruno Lupin at his cellar in Frangy - is a wonderful take on the variety, widely regarded as one of the premier bottlings in the Savoie. Delighting with flavours of orchard fruit, gingerbread, and honey, this wine is ever so slightly off-dry, giving it great structure and the ability to age for many years to come.
On the nose, aromas of pear, green apple, gingerbread, spice and honey with a touch of nougat.
On the palate, soft, mellow and creamy with notes of nougat and a fabulous spike of acidity.

Great as an apéritif, consider pairing with firm white river fish, hard local cheeses such as Beaufort, or roast poultry.
