La Spirale is Bergström's newest vineyard, found in the Ribbon Ridge AVA just a stones throw away from their Le Pre du Col Vineyard and within sight of their estate winery. La Spirale's name is taken from the French word for 'vortex,' a symbol of life, creation, and the natural formative forces that guide the work at Bergström. This wine is like a succulent and juicy bowl of fresh fruits sprinkled with flower blossoms that makes you salivate long after you have tasted the wine.

95/100 - From an estate site in Ribbon Ridge that was planted in 2005 to a variety of soil types, comes a bright and freshly fruited Pinot Noir, quintessentially Oregon in its way. Aromas of tart cranberries and candied orange peel mingle with notes of white pepper and spearmint. The palate is brilliantly lifted as tart raspberries and piquant white pepper notes carry the forepalate. A core of spicy chicory root is balanced against early-season strawberries and a linear minerality with hints of salinity at the finish. - Clive Pursehouse, Decanter

96/100 - The 2022 Pinot Noir La Spirale Vineyard is a jeweled ruby color, and the nose leads with notes of candied roses, sweet herbs, wild raspberries, delicate spice, and incense. Very pure all the way through, it’s crystalline, with well-defined, ripe tannins, an even a spine of acidity, and again, that salty note on the front of the palate. A fantastic red. - Audrey Frick, JebDunnuck.com

93/100 - Darkly alluring, the 2022 Pinot Noir La Spirale Vineyard tempts the imagination with a delicate bouquet that mixes blue and purple florals with a dusting of violet candies and grilled herbs. This opens with a lovely inner sweetness and textures of pure silk as a wave of ripe fruit flows across a stream of brisk acidity. It takes on a crunchy sensation through the finish, leaving a subtle coating of edgy tannins. - Eric Guido, Vinous

93/100 - From vines planted in 2005, the 2022 Pinot Noir La Spirale features bursts of wild berry and rose petal on the nose, complemented by nuances of cardamom, orange peel and bitters. The medium-bodied palate offers concentrated, earthy fruit. It's structured by dusty tannins and mouthwatering acidity and has a detailed finish. - Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate

On the nose, a complex floral bouquet and spice cabinet aroma burst from the glass, but also present are meaty notes intertwined with a pronounced, saline sea-breeze-inspired mineral component reminiscent of oyster shell but also citrus oils and fruits. Some of the many elements perceived in the perfume are roses, rare woods, oak barrel spice, citrus, and orchard fruits.

On the palate, youthful, fresh, and bursting with bright raspberry, strawberries, and bright red cherries. It's like a succulent and juicy bowl of fresh fruits sprinkled with flower blossoms that makes you salivate long after you have tasted the wine.
