Sanford & Benedict is one of the most important vineyards in the history of California wine. The site of the first plantings in Santa Barbara's Sta. Rita Hills region, the vineyard proved the viability of Burgundy varietals in the cool, wind-swept regions along California's coastline. Since 2018, Arnot-Roberts have sourced Chardonnay from the site, combining their leading expertise in minimal intervention winemaking with some of the state's finest fruit to create a Chardonnay of frankly staggering elegance and purity. Singing of orchard fruit, mint, white pepper, lemon peel, and floral notes, this is a bright and beautifully layered white wine.

On the palate, medium-bodied and concentrated yet not even close to overripe. Expansive and silky on the palate, it's energetic acidity adds tremendous balance. Citrus and stone-fruit flavours meld into a mix of subtle, creamy power.
