France > Jura > Pupillin

Domaine Overnoy-Crinquand is currently run by Mickael Crinquand, the fourth generation to steward the family's five hectares of land near the village of Pupillin. Having been run entirely organically for decades, the vines of Overnoy-Crinquand yield fruits of nonpareil depth, concentration, and terroir-expression. This Trousseau is a superb example of one of the Jura's most famous grapes, exceedingly elegant and avoiding the rusticity that can sometimes make this grape less approachable. Offering plenty of red fruit flavours with tinges of spice, this is a perfect red for any occasion.

On the nose, light and lifted aromatics of crunchy red fruit and licorice spice alongside touches of dusty spice.

On the palate, more elegant and refined than many Trousseau's from the Jura with red fruit flavours anchored by a mellow but ever-present acidity. Trousseau's signature earthy minerality abounds, rounding off a superb red wine.

Drink now - 2032.

Consider pairing with charcuterie and Comté, the local cheese specialty also crafted at the Overnoy-Crinquand domaine. You might also consider roast pork with herbs or grilled lamb chops.
