Patrick Javillier Bourgogne Blanc Cuvée des Forgets 2023

Cuvée de Forgets comes from vineyards on the southern side of the Côte de Beaune, grown in predominantly clay soils. The nose is expressive and elegant, distinguished by delightful floral aromas alongside notes of white and yellow fruit. Hiding in the background is a hint of toasty spiciness that comes from time spent ageing in oak. On the palate, Forgets displays a fine balance and lovely body with crisp acidity and the same flavours as aromas. Fresh and with distinct character, this wine has a long and fine finish. This is amongst the best value Bourgogne Blanc we have ever tasted here at Roberson. Grown in predominantly in Meursault, this cuvée is a striking approximation of Premier Cru quality.
