Founded in 2013, London Cru is the UK’s first urban winery - and Roberson’s very own - tucked away down a little alleyway in Fulham, in an old Victorian warehouse which was once a gin distillery. Since 2018, the team have focused entirely on English fruit, working with some of the country’s best vineyards.
The Blanc de Blancs 2022 was made from 100% Chardonnay grapes harvested on the 15th October, in the Bluestone Vineyard (Wiltshire). Matured sur lattes for 32 months.
Pure and focused on the nose, with notes of lemon pith, green apple, oyster shell and just-ripe nectarine. The palate is energetic and precise, with refreshing acidity and a saline edge, leading to a crisp, dry finish. A little more structure than its sister cuvée - the Blanc de Noirs 2022 - gives this wine real versatility — equally at home as an aperitif or at the table.
