Julien Sunier is a true master of Beaujolais, having spent nigh-on two decades crafting superbly balanced, sensationally sapid wines from three of the region's greatest Crus. Carbonically macerated and aged 10 months in used Burgundy barrels, this is a generous and juicy iteration of Morgon shining with notes of black cherries and spice. Sourced from 60-year-old vines planted in seven different plots across Morgon, Julien's 2023 is defined by the structured and powerful palate that has long made the Cru famous.
93/100 - A refined, textural and driven Morgon with sour cherries, forest berries and stones on the nose. Medium-bodied with fine tannins.
