Hailing from the organically farmed Alder Springs Vineyard in Northern Mendocino County, this complex red is composed of 43% Grenache, 43% Syrah and 14% Mourvèdre. Inspired by the timeless wines of France’s Rhône Valley, it offers a rush of lush blue fruit and plum, nuanced with delicate spice, while graceful tannins and refreshing acidity bring balance and energy.
Practicing organic and regenerative farming in the vineyard since 1993. Sprawled across 31 blocks and 140 acres with elevations ranging between 1,700 to 2,700 feet, the vines benefit from a unique microclimate and poor, gravelly soils of decomposed sandstone and quartz which naturally limit yields and favour fruit concentration.
Grapes are carefully harvested, foot-stomped, and fermented whole cluster with native yeasts. Aged in neutral French oak barrels and then in bottle for a year before release.
