Francois d'Allaines Rully 2024

Maison François d’Allaines is a benchmark boutique négociant and grower estate in Demigny, a few kilometres east of Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet. Deliberately avoiding heavily extracted or oak-dominated styles, he relies on low yields, optimal fruit ripeness and neutral barrels to craft pure, refined wines underpinned by chalky minerality.

His Rully is assembled from selected plots within the village, with an average vine age of 40 years. The predominantly east-facing aspect and chalky, marly soils lend the wine vibrant energy and purity of fruit. The nose offers refined, subtle oak and wet-stone notes alongside ripe lemon and Pink Lady apple fruit. On the palate, its creamy texture is lifted by refreshing acidity, while orchard fruit lingers on the finish. Elegant and classically styled, it is particularly expressive in the fresh and balanced 2024 vintage.
