This Chablis comes from the father-son winemaking duo Camille and Laurent Schaller. Having joined the new wave of producers making exceptional quality Chablis from their family vineyards - rather than sell fruit to négociants - their Chablis comes from 30 year old Chardonnay vineyards. Planted on the best clay-limestone soils around the village of Préhy and Chablis, these sustainably farmed grapes yield a wine of exceptional finesse, minerality and purity.
The 2023 Chablis Village has one of the superior aromatics, is well-defined, and displays more mineralité and terroir expression. The palate is taut and fresh, crisp green apple and pear with an energetic finish. This is a commendable Chablis Village. - Neal Martin, Vinous
