This wine will make you wonder why you ever doubted wines with residual sugar. Sourced from Kick-on Ranch, this style of off-dry Riesling is only possible in the best vintages. Canned peaches, orange blossoms and honey leap from the glass. The palate shows richness with electric acidity and length all the same. This is a half bottle format.

93/100 - The 2021 Riesling Kick-on Ranch Auslese has a bit more residual sugar than the 239 (Spätlese), but more freshness as well. Lemon confit, marzipan, white flowers, graphite, dried citrus peel and orchard fruit are beautifully delineated. The tension of residual sugar and acidity is compelling. I admire the energy here. - Antonio Galloni, Vinous

17/20 - Palest gold. Smells of candied citrus peel and honey. Wonderfully bright honey and mandarin-orange-peel flavours are so vibrant with acidity it's hard to believe there are 70 grams per litre of residual sugar here. Finishes clean and bright. Mouth-watering. - Alder Yarrow, JancisRobinson.com

Winery History
Graham Tatomer’s career in wine started back in high school and after he worked the holidays at a local winery all the way through college (in Santa Barbara), he decided that he had found his career path. Drawn to the brightness and acidity of the Germanic varieties (especially Riesling), it wasn’t long before Graham sourced fruit from some old... Read More >>
