Long Meadow Ranch's 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is a complex Cabernet crafted with fruit from both Long Meadow's valley floor and mountainside estates. Characterised by an indelible elegance and lightness of touch, this is a smooth and easy-drinking Cabernet that challenges the rich, lovely concentrated stereotypes of California wine. Aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak, this bright red wine strikes a wonderful balance between juicy dark fruit flavours and subtle earthy touches. Texturally flawless and shining with a wonderfully long finish, this Cabernet is drinking beautifully today but is capable of ageing for over a decade to come.
95/100 - This is very bright and fruity with spearmint, spice and bay leaves. Medium-bodied with very fine tannins and a crisp balance. So delicious. Plenty of Napa Valley mountain cab character. Beautiful to drink now. - James Suckling
On the palate, it has a strong character with earthy notes and a fresh fruity acidity which makes it very well balanced. The tannins are soft and persistent. The finish is long and pleasant.
