Château de Tourettes is French wine icon Jean-Marie Guffens-Heynen's new project in the Southern Rhône. After growing discontent with the vacillating nature of Burgundy in the late 90s, he and his wife Maine decided to not only redefine this estate, but also showcase the untapped potential of the Luberon region. This Viognier is wonderfully fresh and juicy, offering a softly sweet hint of ripe fruit and lively, perfectly balanced finish.
On the palate, this wine is fresh and juicy with an appealing, ever-so-slight oily texture.
Pair with roast fowl, grilled salmon, charcuterie, or enjoy as an aperitif.
Vinified in stainless steel vats. 40% of the wine is aged in wooden barrels, 20% of which are new, and the remaining 60% in horizontal stainless steel vats for a period of 7 months.
