This bottling from Murgo, one of Sicily's foremost producers, is sourced from grapes grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna. A blend of 90% Nerello Mascalese and 10% Nerello Cappuccio, this is a beautifully fragrant rosso singing of fragrant aromas of wild strawberry. Aged - as tradition dictates - in chestnut barrels for 6-8 months, this is a wonderful red best enjoyed young and slightly chilled, paired alongside rustic pasta dishes or pizza.
On the palate, light and vibrant with a refreshing acidity that highlights its youthful character. Elegant with excellent depth and intensity, this is a wine practically bursting with freshness.
