A gem born from Dupuis winery's tiny estate lot, revealing lifted floral and dried pine needle notes amidst dark red fruit aromas. On the palate, it unfolds expansively with a mineral edge enhancing its red fruit flavours, culminating in bright acidity and velvety talc-like tannins. Winemaker Wells Guthrie boldly claims this may be his finest Pinot Noir to date, and his two-decade Pinot-making journey certainly attests to this beautifully balanced and elegant wine.
DuPuis is the latest venture of Wells Guthrie, a name synonymous with the California wine revolution, particularly his Copain label. In 2016, Wells embarked on a new chapter, drawn to a remote site in the lofty heights of Anderson Valley. Here, he established a 40-acre mountain-top estate, enveloped by redwood forests and graced with olive groves, with his 7-acre estate vineyard just steps from the winery.
