This Chardonnay, hailing from a 2-hectare clay-limestone plot with a south-southwest orientation, offers early-ripening grapes which yield rich, tempting wines. Vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to retain the freshness and purity of the fruit, it is aged for nine months, resulting in a particularly expressive Saint-Véran. Out of the glass it's dominated by notes of citrus and white flower, alongside notes of yellow and white fruit paving the way to a smooth finish. Perfect as an aperitif or paired with veal or roast chicken, this wine is best enjoyed young for its fruitiness and freshness, although it can be kept for up to 4-5 years.
On the palate, this wine is rounded and smooth, with lovely fresh fruit providing notes of pear, peach, and a hint of fresh hazelnut. The finish is marked by a pleasant smoothness.
Works perfectly as an aperitif but also pairs wonderfully with white meat, especially roast chicken with herbs.
Drink young to fully enjoy its fruit and freshness, but it may be kept for 4 or 5 years.
