This Güldenmorgen Riesling Auslese is a brand new wine to the Carl Koch lineup, a stunning Auslese sourced from decades old vines in the Sackträger and Kreuz vineyards. Harvested at the end of October once the fruit was entirely covered with botrytis, this is a structured and elegant sweet wine loaded with notes of ripe stone and tropical fruits. Aged just five months in stainless steel, the sweetness of the wine is expertly balanced by its superb acidity and refined structure. Perfect for enjoying with rich and flavorful dishes or spiced Asian cuisine, this Riesling is capable of ageing for at least two decades. Superb value for money.
On the nose, intensely expressive, revealing aromas of ripe mango, tropical fruits, and papaya alongside subtle hints of petrol and wet stone.
On the palate, a lovely interplay between vibrant acidity and balanced sweetness. Enhanced by gentle tannins and a wonderful mouthfeel, this wine bursts with flavours of ripe stone and tropical fruits.
