Founded in 1999 by the Duncan family of Silver Oak, Twomey began as a new family venture to expand beyond Cabernet Sauvignon and vinify other grape varieties from only the most compelling vineyards. The fruit for this poised, cool-climate Pinot Noir is sourced from three separate vineyards within the Anderson Valley. Aged in (mostly used) French oak barrels for 13-14 months, the wine shows complex notes of dark cherry, wild strawberry and subtle spice, all carried by lively acidity and delicately grippy tannins, adding a bit of structure. A polished and elegant Anderson Valley Pinot.
