Tenuta San Guido Le Difese Toscana IGT 2024
- In stock, ready to ship
The entry-level stablemate of Sassicaia, Le Difese was first produced in 2002. Originally intended solely for the local market, its success with international customers has seen production scaled up over time. Blended from Cabernet Sauvignon and Tuscan native Sangiovese, Le Difese has fragrant aromas of dusty red fruit and leather, bright refreshing acidity and medium body.
90/100 - Utilising bought-in Sangiovese from family and friend estates in Chianti and Chianti Rufina – 75% of the blend in 2024 – this vintage of Le Difese perfectly reflects the cooler, rainier growing season, resulting in gentle aromatics and wonderful freshness. Crushed red and black berries combine with chalky tannins. A poised and juicy sip, it's soft yet hemmed in a bit by its structure. Give it a few more months then enjoy. Drink 2026-2030. - James Button, Decanter
