U.S.A. > California > Sierra Foothills

This dark, brooding Syrah is sourced from Sobon's highest, most steeply terraced vineyard in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Sustainably farmed and expertly crafted, this is deep and concentrated California Syarh at its finest. Offering layer upon layer of dark fruit flavours and textural intrigue, this elegant red is the perfect accompaniment for any dining experience.

On the nose, redolent of forest scents, exotic spice, spring violets, and fresh blueberries.

On the palate, rich and full-bodied with layer upon layer of ripe black fruit, sleek minearlity, and meaty, smoky textures. Elegant with a long, velvety finish.

Drink now - 2026.

An ideal accompaniment to wild game - think Cornish game hen - or flame grilled steaks and chops.

The ‘49ers had made their way to the foothills in the mid-1800s, prospecting for gold in Amador County and the surrounding area... Read More >>
