Cuvée de Mon Aieul is a full-bodied, traditional Châteauneuf-du-Pape made by an excellent producer from fruit grown on very old sites, in their best vineyards.
A fascinating Châteauneuf with berry flavours, hints of licquorice and a smooth texture.
Cuvée de Mon Aieul is Usseglio's top Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
It is mainly Grenache, and only the best grapes from vines 75 to 90 years old are used.
Surprisingly approachable young, this reaches its peak around 10 years old.
This is a pefect match for rich, slow-cooked dishes.
