Vieux Carignan is made from Mas d’Amile’s original vineyard, inherited from Amélie’s grandfather. Planted on a gentle, south‑facing slope of poor limestone‑clay soil, these biodynamically farmed 90‑year‑old vines yield a mere 19 hl/ha across two tiny parcels totalling 1.5 hectares.

The result is a brooding wine, with dark fruits, garrigue and feral notes adding charm, yet a surprising balance on the palate thanks to old‑vine Carignan’s ability to retain freshness. Soulful and direct, Vieux Carignan is best decanted for an hour before serving and paired with hearty meat dishes and mature, hard cheeses.

100% Carignan from vines planted in the 1930s on limestone-clay soil. These ancient vines are biodynamically farmed and produce a mere 19hl/ha.

Once destemmed, the grapes are fermented with native yeasts and the wine is then aged for 18 months in neutral French oak barrels from Burgundy, before being bottled unfined and unfiltered, and with minimal SO2 additions.
