This Etna Rosso from Murgo is 100% Nerello Mascalese, sourced from a single parcel of their estate vineyard, San Michele, planted at around 500m in the volcanic sand of Mt. Etna's eastern slopes. This red will need a bit of time in the cellar before reaching its prime, and once opened will pair brilliantly with grilled meats or a rustic Italian pasta.
Ruby red with a garnet rim.
Aromas of red raspberry and pomegranate, rhubarb, clove and white pepper, violet, jasmine, tobacco.
On the palate, great flavors that marry excellent freshness, ripe tannins, a balanced mouthfeel and a long finish marked by red fruit and spices.
