This bottling from Murgo, one of Sicily's foremost producers, is sourced from grapes grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna. A blend of 90% Nerello Mascalese and 10% Nerello Cappuccio, this is a beautifully fragrant and juicy rosso with lovely red fruit, spice and scorched earth notes, and a mineral-driven, bone-dry mouthfeel.
91/100 - Pouring a transparent ruby color, the 2023 Etna Rosso benefits from a little air for its light reduction to blow off before showing off a refreshing profile of Bing cherries, smoky earth, peppercorn, and fresh flowers.
