Natacha Chave’s Crozes-Hermitage is dense and concentrated yet wonderfully vibrant and beautifully balanced. Bursting with dark fruit flavours and touches of subtle smokiness, this is a lovely red to drink now that will continue to develop and improve with a bit of ageing. A textbook example of superb Northern Rhône Syrah.
On the palate, fresh and energetic notes of soft blue fruits, lavender, and violets. Medium-bodied with supple, well-integrated tannins that lead to a long, fruit-forward finish. Polished.
Drink 2027-2031.
As with most Northern Rhône Syrah, this Croze-Hermitage will drink best alongside savoury fare. Consider pairing with beef bourguignon, cassoulet, or chicken tagine.
